Heavy heart today

I am sitting here tonight with my heart hurting, one of my children had someone they love dearly pass away unexpectedly yesterday. I know that its only temporary the pain, the grief, the disbelief, the shock, but it still doesn’t discredit the hurt that my child is feeling right now.

Grief is a profound and complex emotion that accompanies the loss of someone significant. It manifests uniquely in each individual, encompassing a range of feelings such as sadness, anger, confusion, and longing. The journey through grief is not linear, it involves waves of intense emotions that can be overwhelming. Coping with grief involves acknowledging and processing emotions, seeking support from others, and allowing oneself to grieve in a way that feels authentic. Myself, I have never been one to love to openly cry in front of others, I have always felt that I wasn’t being strong if I allowed myself tears running down my cheeks. Last night I had to openly admit that it is ok to cry and that it can help with the loss of a loved one. While grief can feel all-encompassing, with time, healing becomes possible, allowing you to cherish the memories of who has been lost while gradually moving forward.

When faced with difficult times and overwhelming sadness, it can seem nearly impossible to find any semblance of positivity or happiness in daily life. However, despite the challenges that may arise, it is crucial to remember that happiness is a choice. By actively seeking out the good in each day, even in hardships, if we can start to shift our perspective and we can gradually build a happier life. Whether it is the warmth of the sun on our skin, the laughter of a loved one, the beauty of nature surrounding us, there are small moments of joy waiting to be noticed. Just acknowledging and embracing these moments, we can cultivate a more positive outlook and find solace in the present moment.

Being a friend means offering support, being a shoulder to cry on, and cheering someone on. However, it is crucial to understand that it is not your responsibility to make someone else happy. Prioritizing your well-being is essential before extending help to others, as you cannot pour from an empty cup. Self-care is fundamental; ensuring your own emotional and mental health is intact empowers you to be a better support system for those around you. Remember, practicing self-care is not selfish, but a necessary step towards maintaining healthy relationships and boundaries.

Just being kind to others doesn't hurt! Small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on someone's day. A kind word, a simple gesture, or a heartfelt smile can brighten someone's mood and create a ripple effect of positivity. In a world where negativity can easily take over, choosing kindness can make a world of difference. It costs you nothing to be kind, yet its value is immeasurable. So, let's all strive to be a bit more kind to one another, because it is in these simple actions that we can truly make the world a better place.

The last month has been busy! But how many of us always say that? Is it just an excuse because we have overloaded our plates? The other night I had over eaten at dinner to the point that I felt incompasitaded from being overfilled. In truth I cannot even remember what we had eaten for dinner, it was take out, I do know that, because I never take the time to cook dinner for my family. Everyone is in a rush all day, every single day, all I think I hear is “I don’t have the time right now” “Maybe I will have time tomorrow” “That just won’t fit in my schedule” The truth is we have the time, we just mismanage it. Case in point, I haven’t had the time to write this, yet I took the time to scroll Facebook and Instagram for 30 minutes yesterday, I know that because I set the timer on Insta to let me know when I have spent my 20 minutes a day. I had to set that because we get caught up in those 10 second videos, or the catchy pictures that we just scroll to the next one, then the next one. No judgments, because sometimes that’s exactly what is needed at that exact moment.

So I am going to just say HELLO!! Thank you for stopping by!! Definitely much love!! Now I am going to run home and make dinner for my family that is home tonight!

XOXO

is it new age?

The Ancient Wisdom of Rocks, Crystals, and Gems
The allure of rocks, crystals, and gems has been around since the dawn of time, in various cultures, weaving a spiritual significance and practical use. While some may view these treasures as a fad of the modern New Age movement, their significance and daily uses are deeply rooted in the traditions and wisdom passed down through generations.
Since the dawn of time, our ancestors have passed down the sacred meanings upon these beautiful marvels, attributing healing properties, protection, and spiritual connections to different types of stones. Even the ancient civilizations of Egypt, China, Greece, have used crystals and gems in their medicine, recognizing their connection with the human spirit and the natural world.
In today's fast-paced world, the rekindling of interest in the metaphysical properties of rocks, crystals, and gems has led to their integration into holistic healing practices and spiritual exploration. Whether utilized for chakra balancing, meditation, or simply as beautiful adornments, these age-old traditions continue to thrive in the contemporary pursuit of well-being and connection to the universe.

Let me introduce myself…..kind of

Hi there! Ok, I am going to be honest, I have not written in quite some time. Many, many, many moons ago I had a blog, I would update it about my kids for family, and I thought that I would be able to look back at it years down the road and remember what they had accomplished or achieved. Well life doesn’t always go straight forward, and in fact it has most definitely been one hell of a ride!

My name Rochelle, and together with my husband Darin and his beautiful daughter we started Divine Revolution. Now if you have been into the store, which THANK YOU if you have, you would have most likely interacted with Brylee, as that beautiful young woman is the one there on the daily. Together Darin and I have seven (7) children, two-ish daughter-in-laws, a Ryder, two grandbabies (they are mine Darin says “he’s not old enough to be a grandpa yet”), a French Bulldog Stella, and a St Bernard Tubs(I am unsure if he knows his name😬). Luckily for everyone involved we only have four kids under the one roof. We are a blended family! I had four boys and he had the one girl and two boys, we actually just got married in September this last year. We have been together for a number of years, but he was a little gun shy to rush down the isle, even though I am one hell of a bad ass chick 😜! That story is for another time!

Tonight I wanted to just kind of introduce you to who we are, and tell you a small story about my first experience working in the store, and why it is pretty freaking epic, and that is where the idea stemmed to write it down on the blog.

So like I was saying before, I had the opportunity to work for Bry last weekend, everyday she gets to meet and interact with some pretty rad people, and last weekend I was able to experience this for myself firsthand! There was this young couple with a couple of darling kids, and I visited with the mom for a few minutes, she told me that she had recently pulled her kiddos out of the school. I could see it written all over her that she was waiting for the judgement (no judgment here little mama, I have my own battles) if I knew 15, hell even 20 years ago, what I know now I would have homeschooled my kids, and my bonus kids! We live in a pretty heavy religious state, and there is nothing wrong with that, sometimes things get a little bit twisted up that we forget that it’s not our job to judge others. I am going off subject a little bit here, back to the story at hand, this little mama was a little discouraged at the the thought that her kids were going to be missing out on social interactions by her pulling them out of public school system. Fun fact Friday, I have known a couple of homeschool moms in my day, and its not as socially unaccepted as it once was 😁! If I didn’t have to work a career currently, I would pull a couple of our boys out now. It is a daily battle to try and get them to school, they are all three in high school and it can be exhausting worrying about them.

So short story long moral of this story is - don’t be an ass hole to others, we are all fighting a battle that other people don’t know. We can slap a smile on our face daily and pretend that we have our shit all together, when in fact, none of us have our shit all the way together! I truly hope that you guys all stick around and watch as I fumble my way through this whole thing. Also if you happen to be in the Riverton area, stop by Peace on Earth and get a coffee, beer, or kombucha whatever blows your skirt up, and come in the store and say hi! Find you a rock to stick in your pocket, not just because I wrote it down and you read it, but because there is probably one in the store that will help take your mind off the stresses of everyday life.

Until my next post peeps, ❤️

Rochelle
