Let me introduce myself…..kind of

Hi there! Ok, I am going to be honest, I have not written in quite some time. Many, many, many moons ago I had a blog, I would update it about my kids for family, and I thought that I would be able to look back at it years down the road and remember what they had accomplished or achieved. Well life doesn’t always go straight forward, and in fact it has most definitely been one hell of a ride!

My name Rochelle, and together with my husband Darin and his beautiful daughter we started Divine Revolution. Now if you have been into the store, which THANK YOU if you have, you would have most likely interacted with Brylee, as that beautiful young woman is the one there on the daily. Together Darin and I have seven (7) children, two-ish daughter-in-laws, a Ryder, two grandbabies (they are mine Darin says “he’s not old enough to be a grandpa yet”), a French Bulldog Stella, and a St Bernard Tubs(I am unsure if he knows his name😬). Luckily for everyone involved we only have four kids under the one roof. We are a blended family! I had four boys and he had the one girl and two boys, we actually just got married in September this last year. We have been together for a number of years, but he was a little gun shy to rush down the isle, even though I am one hell of a bad ass chick 😜! That story is for another time!

Tonight I wanted to just kind of introduce you to who we are, and tell you a small story about my first experience working in the store, and why it is pretty freaking epic, and that is where the idea stemmed to write it down on the blog.

So like I was saying before, I had the opportunity to work for Bry last weekend, everyday she gets to meet and interact with some pretty rad people, and last weekend I was able to experience this for myself firsthand! There was this young couple with a couple of darling kids, and I visited with the mom for a few minutes, she told me that she had recently pulled her kiddos out of the school. I could see it written all over her that she was waiting for the judgement (no judgment here little mama, I have my own battles) if I knew 15, hell even 20 years ago, what I know now I would have homeschooled my kids, and my bonus kids! We live in a pretty heavy religious state, and there is nothing wrong with that, sometimes things get a little bit twisted up that we forget that it’s not our job to judge others. I am going off subject a little bit here, back to the story at hand, this little mama was a little discouraged at the the thought that her kids were going to be missing out on social interactions by her pulling them out of public school system. Fun fact Friday, I have known a couple of homeschool moms in my day, and its not as socially unaccepted as it once was 😁! If I didn’t have to work a career currently, I would pull a couple of our boys out now. It is a daily battle to try and get them to school, they are all three in high school and it can be exhausting worrying about them.

So short story long moral of this story is - don’t be an ass hole to others, we are all fighting a battle that other people don’t know. We can slap a smile on our face daily and pretend that we have our shit all together, when in fact, none of us have our shit all the way together! I truly hope that you guys all stick around and watch as I fumble my way through this whole thing. Also if you happen to be in the Riverton area, stop by Peace on Earth and get a coffee, beer, or kombucha whatever blows your skirt up, and come in the store and say hi! Find you a rock to stick in your pocket, not just because I wrote it down and you read it, but because there is probably one in the store that will help take your mind off the stresses of everyday life.

Until my next post peeps, ❤️

Rochelle
